"The songs are so craftily written that they become vehicles to teach the children to read. Each lyric tells a story using basic vocabulary. As they learn the songs the children continue to enhance their reading ability without even realizing it. Music director Holley Bartlett LaSala not only teaches the students the delightful songs she has written with them, she also creates mnemonics to help them remember the lyrics."

Music

Music may be the single most memorable and exciting aspect of The Imagine Project experience. It is the music and songs created by and for the students that tie together all aspects of the creative process. When music is introduced early in the rehearsal period, it awakens the sense of wonder and awareness of their own creative potential.
